Vantaa maintains a wide-spread ski track network in winter. In snowy winters, the total length of city-maintained ski tracks can exceed 400 km. In most cases, you are allowed to ski in both directions. Always observe the rules of right-hand traffic. Some of the ski tracks are illuminated between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The ski tracks are divided into three maintenance areas: east, central and west. Each area is maintained by two people. In winter, the ski tracks are remade according to the snow situation and available resources.
