Short message service (SMS) numbers

SMS service numbers can be applied for with FICORA. FICORA grants the user the right of use to the number only. The granted number is reserved for use in all public mobile networks. The user shall agree with the telecommunications operator on the introduction of the number, services to be linked to the number and opening up the service.
The application shall include a primary and secondary proposal for the number applied for, applicant's contact details (name, telephone and postal address of a contact person), applicant's business ID and invoicing address of the numbering fee.
FICORA charges an annual fee determined by the Ministry of Transport and Communications for granted SMS service numbers.
The right to use a number can be revoked by sending an informal notification to FICORA. FICORA shall also be notified of any changes to contact details.
