Wilderness trail

Service location

On Wilderness trail, you can explore the restored forest with the help of information boards in the heart of Haltiala nature reserve. The Wilderness trail is approximately 1.2 km long, and it is marked with blue diamond-shaped spruce symbols. The main information board of the nature trail can be found at both ends of the trail. The trail is not suitable for prams.

Accessibility information

There are no parking spaces marked as accessible in the parking area. The information board about the nature trail is less than 20 m away. The surface of the parking area is stone ash.
In the parking area there is a portable outdoor toilet.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located over 20 m from the information board.
The nature trail is one-way. The length of the one-way route is about 1,2 km.
There are 8 information boards along the nature trail.
There are signposts at central crossroads of the route. The route is marked with a logo or sign affixed to the trees.
The nature trail is hard all the way but partly uneven (bumps). The surface of the passageway is in part fine crushed rock, stones and roots, duckboards (planks lengthwise), as well as other material.
The route contains narrow places where wheelchairs or strollers cannot fit through.
The route has steep hills, the largest of which has 10 meters or more height difference from bottom to top (steepest angle of ascent 30 %).
Next to the passage, there is at least one level difference causing a fall hazard, which is not bound by railings.
