Torso

This work by sculptor Marjo Lahtinen (b. 1944) is sited in a pond in Tähtitorninvuori park, the former site of Wader, a female figure by Wäinö Aaltonen. Completed in 1923, Aaltonen's work was removed from the park because it had suffered some damage, and in 1994 it was relocated to the Rikhardinkatu library. Marjo Lahtinen's work has the same motif as Aaltonen's piece, a female torso.
