The gym is located in Tampere swimming centre, which serves both swimming hall visitors and those who only want to go to the gym. The gym is located on the second floor of the swimming centre and has versatile fitness equipment. Changing rooms are located in the swimming hall premises, the gym is chargeable.

Accessibility information

The sports facilities are located on floor 2.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
The service point has directions to the different facilities.
There is a heated storage area for wheelchairs and prams next to the entrance.
The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the same floor as the entrance.
The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk has sections of varying heights and is accessible to customers sitting down or standing.
At the customer service/cashier's desk, you can borrow a wheelchair, shower wheelchair, rollator walker.

The dressing rooms are located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
The facility does not have an accessible dressing room. The men's/women's dressing rooms must be used instead. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually.
The dressing room has sufficient room for a wheelchair and assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are lockers in the dressing room. An accessible toilet is connected to the dressing room.
The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.
The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a seat and armrest.
The facility does not have a sauna.

The door of the gym opens automatically with an opening button. Unobstructed mobility with a wheelchair or other aids is possible in the gym. The equipment can also be accessed with aids. Some of the equipment can be used from a wheelchair. The equipment is within everyone's reach (storage height 0.8-1.2 m).
The gym features contrast differences between the floor and wall. There is glare in the gym.
