The Tahvonlahti esker is the only

well-preserved and scenically intact

gravel esker within Helsinki. The protection of the area prevents wear on the environment and

preserves the unique esker formation for future generations.

Moving about is only allowed on the trails and shore area which are marked on the signpost found on site.
