The nature walk is on an island, which requires a boat or ferry ride to reach.
Note, that the accessibility of the connection boat is not guaranteed. Contact the operator to check if the boat is suitable for your needs.
There is an information board about 30 m away from the ferry pier on the island, which is visible from the ferry pier. The information board has a map of the area marked with the spot "You are here", rest stops, toilets. You can also look at the information board up close.
The nature walk is a circular route. The length of the route is about 2 km.
Along the nature trail, there are numbered posts. The texts (in Finnish) related to them can be found in the trail brochure at this link: https://www.hel.fi/static/liv/2015/kaunissaarilp.pdf. Note that some of the posts are missing in the terrain.
There are no information boards along the nature walk.
There are signposts at central crossroads of the route. The route is marked on the terrain.
The nature walk is partly soft and uneven. The surface of the passageway is in part fine crushed rock, gravel, stones and roots, as well as other material.
The route is mainly 1.5 meters wide including some 1.2 meter narrow places where wheelchairs or strollers can fit through.
The route has steep hills, the largest of which has 10 meters or more height difference from bottom to top (steepest angle of ascent 13 %).
Along the nature walk, there are rubbish bins and several rest stops with benches for taking a break. The benches are sized for adults, in some rest stops for children, in some rest stops for elderly and stiff-kneed (high benches).
There is a dry toilet (outhouse) marked as accessible along the nature walk at a distance of less than 20 meters from the main route. The requirements for accessibility are not met, as the door is narrow, the door is not easy to close and lock, the toilet does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair, there is no handrail on the wall to support movement and one or both sides of the toilet seat lack a support rail.
