You will receive treatment in the acute internal medicine unit for sudden illnesses that require specialized medical care, such as:

- sepsis and general infections

- ketoacidosis

- intoxications

- acute renal failure

- acute heart failure

Patients come to us mainly through the emergency department and only with a referral.
