The ice hall was built in 1977 and renovated in 2006–2007. It is operated by the Sports Services. During the day, the hall is used by schoolchildren and daycare groups, and from the afternoon until late in the evening by Jää-Kotkat ry, Vakka-Suomen Figure Skaters and other ice sports enthusiasts.
