The staircase features an artwork consisting of 381 painted words that were suggested by the public through the library’s website. Everyone was invited to propose who deserved to have the library dedicated to them.
The work was produced under the Percent for Art programme of the City of Helsinki. It belongs to the collections of the HAM Helsinki Art Museum.
