Seasonal work voucher for young people

Instructions for Young People

1. Independently apply for a job that interests you at a company, association, organization, parish, or foundation. You cannot use the voucher to get a job at the City of Turku or any other municipality, with the state, or with a private individual.
2. Once you have found a job, check with the employer whether they wish to use the seasonal work voucher.
3. Fill in the electronic Webropol pre-information form together with the employer.
4. You will receive confirmation of the voucher being granted via email.
5. Sign a written employment contract with the employer.

Instructions for Employers

1. Recruit a suitable employee according to your own procedures.
2. Ensure that the young person is a resident of Turku and meets the other conditions of the seasonal work voucher.
3. Complete the electronic Webropol pre-information form together with the young person.
4. You will receive the granted seasonal work voucher by email.
5. Sign a written employment contract with the young person no later than when the employment begins. Please note that the pre-information form is not an employment contract.
6. Pay the young person’s wages as soon as possible after the employment ends. Remember to provide a certificate of employment.
7. Apply for reimbursement of the seasonal work voucher by the stated deadline in the electronic Service Voucher and Purchased Services System.

• The young person must be 15–20 years old and a resident of Turku.
• The employer must be a company, association, organization, parish, or foundation. The voucher is not granted for employment at the City of Turku or any other municipality, with the state, or with a private individual.
• The job must include at least 60 working hours during the seasonal work voucher period.
• The employer must primarily pay wages according to the applicable collective agreement for the employment.
