Reporting of information related to the retail sale of electricity

Electricity retailers shall notify the Energy Authority of information relating to the retail sale of electricity.

The supplier shall report electricity retail prices that the retailer generally provides electricity to consumers and other electricity users with a main fuse of up to 3 x 63 A, or where electricity is purchased at up to 100,000 kW per year.

The supplier shall report the terms and conditions of sale relating to the electricity sales product, which, from the consumer's point of view, differ significantly from those generally applied in the sector.

The supplier shall report annually the following key figures:

  • number of places of electricity use and total annual consumption divided by location groups
  • sales volume of electricity from renewable energy sources
  • quantities of electricity sales contracts

Do the following

Supply the electricity retail price data and key figures by entering them in the Finnish Energy Authority's price information system.

Deliver the terms and conditions of sale of electricity to the Energy Authority primarily by e-mail to the Registry of the Energy Authority. You can also send the conditions of sale by post to the Energy Authority.

To whom and on what terms

The use of the electricity price comparison service requires that the company has authorised its users with a Suomi.fi authorisation.

The service is free of charge.
