Recreational activities and companionship are intended for anyone who needs company and stimulating activities to support their daily life.
The service can be provided VAT-free if the client has a functional limitation preventing them from managing activities independently. Eligibility for VAT exemption does not depend on age but is assessed by a professional during the consultation.
The service is eligible for a household tax credit according to the guidelines of the Finnish Tax Administration if paid privately. Please note that the credit cannot be claimed for the same work if covered, for example, by a service voucher. Depending on the practices of the wellbeing services county, it may also be possible to apply for a service voucher to cover the costs.
