Recognition of professional competence means that a person is qualified to make decisions in a regulated profession in Finland on the basis of professional competence acquired in another EU/EEA member state or in Switzerland.
A person who qualified abroad needs a decision from the competent authority in order for them to be regarded as competent to practice their profession in Finland.
