Ordering a Utility Map Extract

  • Service
  • Turku
  • Public service

The utility map shows the underground cables, wiring, devices and structures in the public areas of the City of Turku laid over the city map. The map service can provide utility maps of all actors with who the City has concluded a utility map service agreement.

Do the following

Order a utility map through the City of Turku's electronic service.

Ordering a utility map extract

  • Order the map extract 2–3 working days in advance. The delivery time for the large-scale map extract is longer
  • The map extract is valid for 2 weeks from the date of printing
  • The cable map is mandatory for digging work
  • As a rule, the maps show the cable data in public areas
  • Always contact the owner of the cable for detailed information about it

Cable markings and cable damage

  • Cable markings are available directly from cable owners
  • In case of cable damage or even in case of suspected damage, call the party that owns the cable IMMEDIATELY

Electronic utility map extract

Cable information is also available in DWG format. The material is only intended for planning and does not replace the official cable map extract.

DWG files do not include a blueprint.

To whom and on what terms

Utility map extracts are only handed over for precisely defined areas for a justified purpose: for example, for a contractor carrying out digging work.

State the following information when ordering the map extract:

  • purpose of the work
  • item
  • file format of the map extract: PDF or DWG
  • contact details of the person submitting the order

Map extracts may not be handed over to third parties and they must be stored responsibly. After use, utility map extracts must be disposed of appropriately. Logging in to the order service is mandatory when ordering utility map extracts.
