Oral health care services for students are meant for students at high schools and vocational schools.
The oral health care services for students include health counseling, examinations and treatment of the mouth and teeth as per the student's personal needs. They also include a personal treatment plan based on the findings of the examinations. The plan entails self treatment as well.

To whom and on what terms
High school and vocational school students may use the oral healthcare services for students. The treatment provided by the wellbeing services county is free for minors.
Background information
Students in upper secondary school, vocational education and training institutions, universities of applied sciences and universities are entitled to oral health care services. Students must be provided with at least one oral health examination during their studies to determine their need for oral health care guidance and services.
No fee is charged at health and social services centres for the oral and dental care of students under the age of 18.
The costs of oral health care for higher education students are included in the health care fee. Students in general upper secondary schools and vocational institutions can apply for oral health care services by making an appointment with the oral health care services of their wellbeing services county. Higher education students can apply for oral health care services through the FSHS’ care need assessment and service guidance.
