You must always notify a municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority about wild oats. Anyone can submit a notification, such as the holder of the area or a wild oats inspector.
The notification is followed by a wild oats inspection and the area in question is added to the register of wild oats. In addition to this, the holder receives instructions for controlling wild oats.

Report wild oats to the municipal Rural Livelihood Authority. If you notice wild oats on land under your control, submit a notification of this as soon as possible during the growing season, but no later than in connection with the next application for area-based subsidies.
If the area where the plants of wild oats are growing is not covered by the subsidy application, submit a free-form notification to the Rural Livelihood Authority. Please include the following in the notification:

After receiving the notification of wild oats, the Rural Livelihood Authority will perform a wild oats inspection on the area and give the holder of the area instructions on how to control the wild oats as soon as possible.
Submit the notification of wild oat to Lieto’s rural services.
If the trader is established in another EEA state and provides services in Finland on a temporary basis, they are required to have the same permits as the traders established in Finland.
The notification of wild oats can be submitted at any time. The holder of the area must notify about the wild oats as soon as possible during the growing season and no later than in connection to the next application for area-based subsidies.
