Notification of the operation manager of the electrical installation

The possessor of the electrical installation must appoint an operation manager of the installation when:
- the installation includes parts with a nominal voltage of more than 1000 V, such as a high-voltage transformer substation. This does not refer to installation supplied by a low-voltage electrical network (< or = 1000 V) that itself has high voltage
or when
- the connection capacity of the equipment is more than 1600 kVA. This refers to the sum of the connection capacities of the electrical connections of the possessor of real property or a continuous group of buildings.
The operation manager must be appointed for the whole electrical installation, including its low-voltage (< or = 1000 V) parts.
The notification must include information on electrical installation and the operation manager and the operation manager’s consent to the task.

The notification is filed electronically in the Regional Administration e-service.
To whom and on what terms
The operation manager must be a natural person with sufficient electrical competence (certificate of competence).
Changes concerning the possessor of the electrical installation and the operation manager must be notified to Tukes within one month of the change.
A fee is charged for the service.
Deadline
The possessor of the electrical installation must submit a notification of the appointed operation manager to Tukes within three months of the deployment of the electrical installation.
Processing time
The preliminary processing time is 20 days.
