Notification of the amount of by-products used as carrions

  • Permit or other obligation
  • 5 municipalities
  • Public service

The carrion keeper must notify the municipal veterinarian three times a year of the by-products taken to the carrion feeding site and their amount.

On a monthly basis, report the amount of carrion material you have delivered to the carrion feeding site, in the environmental health care area of Rovakaari, to the veterinary inspector.

Do the following

In the municipalities of the Rovakaari environmental health care area, submit a notification to the veterinary inspector, using the Finnish Food Authority's notification form. Send the notification by email to valvontaelainlaakarit[at]rovaniemi.fi or by post to the office.

For more information, contact your veterinary inspector, the customer service telephone for environmental health care, visit the office, or send an e-mail to valvontaelainlaakarit[at]rovaniemi.fi.

Information on all service channels is not available in your chosen language. Change the language of the site to receive information on service channels in other languages.

To whom and on what terms

If the operator has established itself in another country in the European Economic Area and temporarily offers services in Finland, the same notifications are required as from operators established in Finland.

Notify the municipal veterinarian of the municipality where the carrion material originates. If the carrion feeding site is located in a different municipality, also notify the municipal veterinarian of that municipality.

In the municipalities of the Rovakaari environmental health care area (Rovaniemi, Ranua, Pello, Ylitornio and Kolari), submit a notification to the veterinary inspectors.
