Notification of a pleasure boat harbour

  • Permit or other obligation
  • Rauma
  • Public service

The harbour operator must draw up a waste management plan for organising waste management for ship waste. A pleasure boat harbour can draw up a joint waste management plan with another pleasure boat harbour.

Do the following

Submit a notification of the pleasure boat harbour using the Finnish Environment Institute’s form. The notification must contain a waste management plan.

Information on all service channels is not available in your chosen language. Change the language of the site to receive information on service channels in other languages.

To whom and on what terms

If the entrepreneur has established itself in another country in the European Economic Area and temporarily offers services in Finland, the same permits are required as from entrepreneurs established in Finland.

Deadline

Submit the notification well in advance before commencing the harbour operations.

Period of validity

In principle, the notification is valid until further notice.

Background information

If a pleasure boat harbour does not need an environmental permit, the municipal environmental authority must be notified of it.

An environmental permit is mainly required for harbours and loading or unloading docks intended for merchant shipping and suitable for vessels with a deadweight of more than 1,350 tonnes.
