A person assisting the veterinary inspector to inspect meat in slaughterhouses.
The operator applies for the slaughterhouse’s approval from the meat inspection unit of the Finnish Food Authority. Once the slaughterhouse has received the approval and approval number from the meat inspection unit, the meat inspection unit arranges either a meat inspector or inspectors to the slaughterhouse, depending on the quantity of slaughter activities.
The meat inspector must have completed the vocational qualification as a meat inspector.
