At the maternity clinic, we help parents prepare for childbirth and parenthood and promote the health and wellbeing of the whole family. You can get counselling from the maternity clinic early on when planning your pregnancy.
We can book your first appointment as soon as you know you are pregnant. We will book an appointment for pregnancy weeks 8–10, and the next appointments will be arranged separately.
Book an appointment at the clinic by calling the Oma Häme maternity and child health clinic Ensilinja helpline or via the clinic’s chat service.
You can book a phone appointment with your own nurse through the digital appointment booking system in the Citizen's Online Health Services portal.
A digital preliminary questionnaire has been introduced for 1.5-year-olds who use the maternity and child health clinic services. Once an appointment has been booked for the child, the guardian will receive an SMS message asking them to complete a digital preliminary questionnaire before the appointment. For more detailed instructions, see the section "Digital service channels" and then "Digital preliminary questionnaire".
Maternity and child health clinic services are designed for those who are planning to become pregnant, pregnant women and children under school age and their families.
