The application processing time begins when all necessary documents have arrived at the Finnish Supervisory Agency.

In order to be granted the professional practise right, you must have a degree leading to the profession of a midwife.
If you do not have a Finnish personal identity code at the time of applying, you must notify the Finnish Supervisory Agency as soon as you receive it.
Apply for the licensing well in advance before starting to practise the profession in Finland. You have no right to work in Finland before Finnish Supervisory Agency has issued the licensing.
The processing time is calculated from when the Finnish Supervisory Agency receives all the required documents. The target processing time is 3–4 months after the application has been received. The processing time is delayed if the application is incomplete.
The licensing is valid for an indefinite term.
