In the Lappeenranta libraries, there are various spaces designed for customer use. The main library offers meeting rooms for both small and large gatherings as well as events. In Lauritsala Library, there is a club room, a band room, and a researcher’s room. In Joutseno Library, the versatile Olkkari space can be used for gatherings and even for playing games.

Main Library facilities

Reservations for the Main Library facilities are handled by the library information desk. Branch libraries manage the reservations for their own facilities. You can make a reservation in Timmi reservation website.

Booking form

When booking meeting rooms, group rooms, or the multipurpose hall, you must complete a booking form stating the time of the event, its subject, the booking organization, the contact person, and the billing address. By completing the booking form, you agree to comply with the stated rules for the use of the facilities. You can make a booking in Timmi reservation website.

To whom and on what terms

Lappeenranta City Library offers facilities for meetings, events, and non-formal education. The library charges a fee for the facilities if a private person or group organizes an event without the library’s involvement. If the organizer charges participants an entrance fee, the library collects an increased fee.

The library does not charge rent for public events organized in cooperation with the library. These public events are included in the library’s communications.

All events held in the library’s facilities must comply with good practice and Finnish law. Individual political parties or religious organizations cannot reserve the facilities.

The library charges rent by full hours after the first hour.

The library does not provide free facilities for profit-making purposes.
