Integration Training

  • working life
  • the Finnish education system
  • Finnish society
  • and the Finnish language.

In addition, the training includes work-based learning and short courses related to working life, such as certifications. At the end of the training, you will take a final language proficiency test.

How to Join?

You will receive an invitation. An employee from Employment Services will reserve a place for you in the training and inform you separately. Your participation will be recorded in your integration plan.

Before being directed to integration training, the employee may first refer you to a language proficiency test.

To whom and on what terms

Who is the training for?

The training is intended for immigrants aged 18–64 who are registered as jobseekers and have an integration plan prepared by Employment Services. The primary target group for integration training includes immigrants who have lived in Finland for less than three years and who are unemployed jobseekers or at risk of becoming unemployed.

Other Important Information

  • Participation in the training must be regular. The duration of the training is approximately one year.
  • Employment Services stay in contact with the training provider throughout the course. Your progress will be monitored, and at the end of the training, a final interview will be held with you, the trainer, and Employment Services.
  • Teaching is provided either in-person or remotely, and the studies are full-time.
  • The training is free of charge.
