Do the following

You apply to a general upper secondary school’s special emphasis track through the joint application system. Students are selected based on their comprehensive education certificates (either the average grade in academic subjects or a weighted average). The application process may also include an entrance exam and other additional assessments.

If study places become available during the school year, you can apply for a place through the rolling submission process. The criteria for student selection are the same as in the joint application procedure.

If you have completed education equivalent to Finnish comprehensive education abroad or do not have a comprehensive education certificate, you can apply to general upper secondary general school via discretionary admission in the joint application procedure or through rolling admission.
