Expert-assisted court mediation is an alternative to long and strenuous legal proceedings in a situation where the parents have not been able to reach an agreement on the custody, living arrangements, right of access and maintenance of the child at the child welfare officer’s office. The service is only intended for court clients, and you seek the service through a district court.
The court mediation for child custody and right of access disputes is governed by Chapter 3 a of the Act on Child Custody and Right of Access.
