You can contact an exercise counsellor if you need help starting exercise or finding an activity that suits you. You can also speak to an exercise counsellor remotely.

How to use the service – step by step

  1. Contact the exercise advisor

You can contact the advisor by phone or email.

The contact details are on the city’s website.

2. Book a first meeting (initial assessment)

In the first meeting, you talk about your current physical activity, health, daily life, and goals.

3. Make your personal exercise plan

The exercise advisor helps you create a personal and realistic plan that fits your life and goals.

If needed, you can also get guidance to group activities, courses, or other services.

4. Take part in follow-up meetings

You can have 1–3 follow-up meetings to check your progress and update your plan if needed.

These meetings can be face to face or online.

5. Continue on your own or in guided groups

You will get tips and support for continuing your exercise independently or in city and local organisation groups.

To whom and on what terms

All residents of Uusikaupunki, from babies to adults, are welcome to seek advice from exercise counselling. The service is aimed at people who are not used to doing exercise and who are considering embracing physical activity.
