When you call the Emergency Response Centre, the operator conducts a risk assessment and dispatches the assistance required by the situation. However, not all emergency calls lead to the dispatch of emergency medical services. For example, the operator may advise you to contact on-call assistance or another service. It is also possible that a healthcare professional will call you for more information before dispatching emergency medical services.
