Control of occupational radiation dose

  • Service
  • Nationwide
  • Public service

An employee’s dose report is used, for example, to report dose information to the physician monitoring the employee’s health. The employee’s dose report contains all radiation dose data stored in the employee’s dose register.

The individual radiological monitoring document contains information on an employee’s doses from the preceding five years. The document is in English. The individual radiological monitoring document and the certificate written by an occupational health practitioner experienced in radiation form a radiation passbook, which is needed when working with radiation abroad.

Do the following

The employee’s dose report and individual radiological monitoring document are ordered using the form below or via the dose register’s extranet service. The person responsible for radiation safety, the person managing the dosage register appointed by the operator or the employer, and an occupational health practitioner experienced in radiation have access to the dosage register’s extranet.

Each employer is sent an annual summary of the radiation doses of their employees. The employer must ensure that each employee is also informed of their own doses.

To whom and on what terms

Information from the dose register is only disclosed to persons who have the right to receive it. The information can be ordered by the employee in question, person responsible for radiation safety or a contact person appointed by the operator or employer to handle dose monitoring matters.

A fee is charged for the service.

The documents are subject to a fee in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (1259/2018).
