Citizenship declaration for an adopted child

Submit this declaration to apply for Finnish citizenship for an adopted child who is at least 12 years of age if:

• you or your spouse hold Finnish citizenship;
• the decision on adoption has become valid in Finland on 1 June 2003 or later; and
• you have custody of the child or are the child's guardian.
