To whom and on what terms

If the entrepreneur has established itself in another country in the European Economic Area and temporarily offers services in Finland, the same permits are required as from entrepreneurs established in Finland.

Background information

A notification on the use and storage of hazardous chemicals and explosives must be submitted before the related operations are set to begin.

The notification must be made for any chemicals that are classified as health, environmental or physical hazards.

Handling and storage of hazardous chemicals is divided into small and large-scale. The extent of activities is determined on the basis of the hazard and quantity of the chemicals. The notification on small-scale handling and storage is submitted to the rescue authority, whereas the notification on large-scale handling and storage is submitted to the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes).
