Authorisation for entry of data in the declarant’s records

  • Permit or other obligation
  • Nationwide
  • Public service

Authorisation for entry of data in the declarant’s records enables goods to be placed under a customs procedure in the company’s own premises or other location as defined in the authorisation. The entry of data has the same legal effect as a decision on release granted by a Customs authority. Depending on the customs procedure, the placing of goods under customs procedure is completed by a complementary notice.

Prerequisites for the authorisation are that the company

  • is located in the EU area
  • has not committed repeated or serious infringements of the customs or tax legislation
  • has a sufficient management system for commercial and transport data
  • has practical competence or is professionally qualified.

The authorisation can be granted for the following customs procedures: release for free circulation, export and re-export, customs warehousing, temporary importation, specified purpose of use, inward processing and outward processing.

Authorisations are issued in Finnish or Swedish.
