Authorisation for centralised clearance

The authorisation holder can lodge at the customs office where he is established, a customs declaration for goods which are presented at another customs office. For example, if a company is located in Finland, its goods are cleared through customs in Finland but presented at a customs office in Germany.

The authorisation can be granted for the following customs procedures:

  • release for free circulation
  • export and re-export
  • customs warehousing
  • temporary importation
  • specified purpose of use
  • inward processing
  • outward processing.

The company is required to have an AEOC status for the authorisation. You can find Instructions for applying for an AEOC status under Authorisations on Customs’ website.

Authorisations can be issued in Finnish or in Swedish.

The service is free of charge.

Processing time

Authorisation applications are processed within 120 days from when they are approved for processing. The application can be approved for processing when it contains all the details needed to make a decision, i.e. the application is fully completed and accompanied with the necessary attachments.
