The Acute psychiatric ward is a closed unit for adults with mental illnesses, there is also a psychogeriatric ward. We have 18 places (with places for psychogeriatric patients). The treatment is based on acute need for help.

Do the following
In order to seek treatment at the Acute psychiatric ward You will need a referral written by a doctor. You can get a referral from the mental health care center or from Your health station via Your job or from a doctor at the private health care.
The referral can be a normal referral when You seek help voluntary or it can be an observation referral which means You have to stay in obseravation for a couple of days unvoluntary.
