Home-based services take priority over 24-hour service housing. The availability of 24-hour service housing in ARA properties is also influenced by wealth. ARA apartments are intended for people on low incomes, and there is an asset limit for obtaining an apartment. In the wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava, the ARA properties for 24-hour service housing are Myyrmäki Senior Centre, Nursing Home Vomma, Hämeenkylä Senior Centre, Malminiitty Housing Service Unit and Koivukylä Service Home. Outsourced service units also have ARA properties. For more information, please contact the housing provider at 09 4191 6010 on weekdays from 9.00 to 15.00.

You can apply for 24-hour service housing by contacting an existing care provider, such as home care, or senior counselling, which will carry out a comprehensive assessment of your service needs. The need for the service is determined in a multidisciplinary manner by the Client Assistance Unit for the Elderly. The unit makes the decision to grant or deny the service.
