The main purpose of Etelä-Karjalan Omaishoitajat ry (South Karelia Association for Family caregivers) is to be an advocacy and support association for carers. The association was established in 2002 and there are some 330 members. The activities and services are free of charge to everyone and do not require a membership or caregiver’s contract. Other tasks : *to provide information for carers about services, aids, holidays and rehabilitation*to advise, guide, discuss and provide emotional support*to organize peer support, recreational activities, trips and events*to help with a variety of applications*to inform about caregiving within the following area: Imatra, Lappeenranta, Lemi, Luumäki, Parikkala, Rautjärvi, Ruokolahti, Savitaipale and Taipalsaari.Please feel free to contact in all matters related to care for family members!
