Savonlinnan Seudun Kolomonen ry is a registered, politically neutral association founded in January 2007 to improve the shared operational conditions of organizations in the Savonlinna region. The activities of Kolomonen support cooperation among different parties and various actors. It is a regional entity that strengthens the participation of local residents and promotes increased well-being. The third sector reinforces the realization of civil society, and civic organizations also play a significant role in supporting municipal services. Kolomonen currently has 150 member associations. The goal is to build and develop a new operational model for the joint work of regional organizations and stakeholders. The objective is to enhance the appreciation and significance of organizational activities. The operational model allows organizations to work in a networked manner and empower the people of the region. In the empowerment of citizens, overall activity, participation, and the desire to influence one’s environment and well-being will increase.
Olka – Coordinated Volunteer and Organizational Activities in the HospitalThe Savonlinna Olka activity has been rooted as a permanent service model in the Savonlinna Central Hospital and the social and healthcare center, thanks to the Stea funding provided by Savonlinnan Seudun Kolomonen ry, as well as the fruitful collaboration with Eloisa and the network of stakeholders. The developed operational model is stable and active, and it is a pleasure to continue its development in cooperation in the future.
