At the Ministry of the Environment, we work for a better environment to live in for future generations by making sure that, besides economic factors, environmental considerations are at the heart of all social decision-making.
The four departments and one support function of the Ministry of the Environment – Aquatic and Natural Environment Department, Sustainable Construction and Housing Department, Climate and Environmental Protection Department and Ministerial Governance and International Affairs Department, and Communications – are responsible for legislative and policy preparation for the Government and Parliament concerning communities, climate issues, built environment, housing, biodiversity and sustainable use of natural resources, and environmental protection.
The Centre for State-Subsidised Housing Construction operating in connection with the Ministry of the Environment implements state-subsidised housing construction.
