Watch out for scam messages pretending to be from Suomi.fi – do not click on the links in the message

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency warns of scam messages sent in the name of Suomi.fi. Never click on the links in such emails.
The message in question is a phishing message that attempts to get the user to click a link in the message and log in to a scam website that looks like Suomi.fi. Scam messages have been received from info@suomi-gov-fi.com or info@suomi-finns.com which are not a government addresses.
Email messages prompt you to log in to the Suomi.fi portal and enter a one-time access code. The message includes the recipient's personal data (e.g. personal identity code, address). Some of the address information displayed in messages has been old.
Some of those who received a scam message have expressed that they were victims of the Vastaamo data breach. On the basis of current information, the information displayed in the messages does not come from the authorities' systems.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency would like to remind you that authorities, banks and companies do not send links to their websites by e-mail or text message.
Do the following
Do not click on any links in e-mail or text messages. Do not access the services through links or search engine results. Instead, enter the full address of the website in the address bar.
You can also bookmark the most important addresses or add them to favourites on your browser.
