Suomi.fi e-Identification introduces OP Corporate Bank authentication service

Published 16/12/2020

Suomi.fi e-Identification introduces OP Corporate Bank authentication service. Until now, Suomi.fi e-Identification has had agreements on authentication with different banks. In the future, identification will use the OP authentication service, through which all users are identified regardless of the user's bank or telecommunications operator relationship.

The change does not affect identification as such, and identification will be as secure as before.

Possible user interface changes are normal and are due to the new authentication service. In connection with identification, the service provider may appear to be OP, even if the banking IDs of another bank are used. In the future, Telia's appearance will be used in mobile certificate identification.

The bank identification will be transferred to the OP authentication service in stages as of 7 December 2020. The change is not expected to cause interruptions in the use of Suomi.fi e-Identification.
