An update to selecting the service role in Suomi.fi Web Service – the selected role will remain the same throughout the session

In April, selecting the service role in Suomi.fi Web Service will be updated in order to clarify the user experience. After the update, when identifying themselves in Suomi.fi Web Service, the user will choose between acting as themselves or on behalf of another person or an organisation. The service role will remain the same when the user moves between Suomi.fi e-Authorizations and Messages.  

The update will be implemented on 29 April, 2025. During the session, the service role can be changed by clicking the Change your service role button at the top of the web page. 

The change only applies to the Suomi.fi Web service, not to other e-services that uses Suomi.fi e-Identification.
