Authorisation by application is only used by parties who cannot independently grant or invalidate mandates in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations. Once you have identified yourself, you can view your previously submitted applications.
Who needs authorisation with an application?
The time required for processing an application is around seven working days from the date on which the application was received.
Central government, regional administration and local government organisation
Educational institution
Evangelical Lutheran Church and Orthodox Church
An association which, under the association’s rules concerning signatures, is represented by two or more persons together, or persons entitled to represent the association do not have a Finnish personal identity code or identification token
A group or organisation that does not have representatives entered in the Trade Register, such as a foundation, religious community, mutual fund, unemployment fund, insurance fund, personnel fund, jointly owned forest, road maintenance association, cooperative, ship owner company, other partnership engaged in business, or an estate with a business ID
A forest industry company, agricultural partnership or real estate group whose shareholder is another corporation or whose shareholders do not have an identification token or a Finnish personal identity code
Finnish business operator or self-employed person who cannot use electronic services
Finnish agricultural or forestry trader who cannot use electronic services
Finnish company which is bankrupt or in liquidation or which has ceased to operate
A foreign company with no business ID or whose representatives have not been entered in the Trade Register
A foreign company where the persons entitled to represent the company do not have a Finnish personal identity code or identification token or whose authorised representative is another organisation
Finnish person aged 18 or over who does not have an identification token or who cannot use electronic services
Guardians of a minor assignor when one of the guardians cannot identify themselves in electronic services or if the child has a non-disclosure
Foreign person who does not have a Finnish identification token
How to submit a mandate application
1. Always start by determining the requirements
After you have answered the questions, you will get instructions and a list of the required documents. The requirements vary in different situations and may change between different applications.
2. Submit an application for the registration of a mandate
Submit the application in accordance with the requirements. The application can be submitted by any person selected by the assignor.

A mandate can be invalidated with an application if independent invalidation in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations is not possible. You will receive instructions and a list of the required documents when you fill in the application.
