Changes during work
The company's finances, changes in workplaces and various events in the employees' lives might cause a need to change the employment contract or terms of employment. Sometimes you also have to examine the possibility of terminating the work.
Termination of an employee
A permanent employment relationship usually ends in a notice being given or in a resignation. The employer may not terminate an employment contract without proper and especially weighty reason.
It is not normally possible to give notice in a fixed-term employment relationship.
A particularly weighted reason is required for cancelling the employment relationship.

Privacy and data protection
The workplace must comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Working Life Data Protection Act.
Legislation to be displayed at the workplace
The employer must keep several laws governing working life on display at the workplace so that employees can easily familiarise themselves with the legislation if they so wish. The material can be made available in printed or electronic form. You can also guide the employee to familiarise themselves with the laws on the Finlex.fi websiteOpens in a new window..
