Do the following

First, decide who you want to act on your behalf, in which matters and for how long. Then, agree with this desired assignee on how you want to make the authorisation.

You can submit an electronic mandate application yourself, together with the person you have selected as the assignee or with another assistant on the ‘Authorisation with an application’ page.

To submit an application, you need a computer, tablet or smartphone and a network connection. The person you have selected as the assignee or an assistant can help you submit the application as an identified customer of the Suomi.fi Web Service. Then, they can follow the progress of your application in the service. If the assistant cannot or does not wish to log in to the Suomi.fi Web Service, you can send the application by post.

If you cannot submit the application yourself and with an assistant, you can book an appointment at your choice of a service location of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency where an official will assist you with the application. Check that you have all the necessary information for the mandate application.

Accepting a mandate request

One way to grant mandates is to approve a mandate request. The person you want to act on your behalf identifies themselves in the Suomi.fi Web Service and sends you a mandate request. For this purpose, they need your name, personal identity code and a list of the mandate themes that you want to give them.

After this, you must accept the mandate request at one of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s service locations. If you make an appointment in the ‘Suomi.fi e-Authorizations for organisations and citizens’ service, you can avoid queuing and can ensure that you are served.

Do you need help?
