Find out if you are eligible for integration training

First, discuss with the expert at the TE Office or your municipality's employment services whether you would be eligible for integration training. The integration training usually includes studying Finnish or Swedish.

If you do not have access to integration training, discuss with the expert at the TE Office or your municipality's employment services whether you can study Finnish or Swedish independently.

You can study a language part-time.

In any case, you can usually study Finnish or Swedish part-time

  • at adult education centres
  • at university and open university.

Discuss your studies with the expert at the TE Office or your municipality before starting them.

When you get a job, ask your employer if you can improve your language skills during the employment relationship.
