Changes in employment

The employment relationship is most commonly terminated when the employee resigns or the fixed-term employment relationship ends.

Sometimes the employer must also consider lay-offs or giving notice to employees.  Before laying off employees or giving notice on financial or production-related grounds, the alternatives should be explored.

All changes in employment relationships involve obligations that the employer must comply with.

Cooperation negotiations and lay-offs

Companies within the scope of the Co-operation Act must negotiate in advance changes affecting employees, such as lay-offs.
