Children and the Internet

There are numerous websites aimed at children and young people. Some offer the possibility to safely discuss difficult matters with someone, and in some web services experts or other adults answer questions sent by the young.

The danger zones of the Internet can be avoided by following safety instructions. Web operators offer filtering and blocking services that deny access to sites and pages that may be harmful to children. Some organisations that deal with Internet matters have pages where you can anonymously send information about illegal or harmful web content.

The “Send link” functionality lets you add pages to your bookmarks and send pages by e-mail to the recipients of your choice. You can also share content with your network in social networking services. Using these services is usually free of charge, but they require user registration.
