Do the following
To get in contact with your local youth centre call us. We welcome calls from adolescents themselves, as well as from their parents and other loved ones. Alternatively, you can leave a message on our answerphone. The helpline is open between 8 am and 8 pm from Monday to Friday. We will contact you between 8 am and 4 pm within three business days after receiving your message.
To whom and on what terms
The service is designed for young people aged between 13 and 17 years who live or are studying in Central Uusimaa. You can also contact us about a loved one. Youth centres provide mental health and substance abuse services for adolescents aged between 13 and 17 years and help to resolve parenting issues and conflicts within families. Please note that youth centres are not equipped to carry out neuropsychiatric examinations. You can also contact us if you just need advice and guidance.
The services available at youth centres are provided on a voluntary basis and free of charge. Your rights are protected under the Finnish Act on the Status and Rights of Patients and the Finnish Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients. Our staff are bound by professional secrecy and all conversations are confidential. The aim is to understand your concerns and needs, and work towards goals that you identify for yourself. Youth centres can also arrange for you to see a doctor.
