Self-assessed tax return

Self-assessed taxes refer to value added tax and lottery tax, for example. You calculate these amounts yourself and report and pay by the due date laid down in legislation.

Do the following

The tax return for self-assessed taxes must be submitted electronically.

You can submit and pay self-assessed taxes (such as value added taxes or lottery tax) in MyTax.

You can also submit the information electronically

  • via an accounting programme
  • as a file in the Ilmoitin.fi service.

You can use the paper form only in exceptional circumstances.

Information on paid salaries and employer contributions is reported to the Incomes Register. A large part of pensions and benefits are also reported to the Incomes Register.
